SUNY
Cortland Writer:
If you work at SUNY Cortland and write, you are welcome to participate in our
upcoming Faculty Writing Group in 218 Old Main, Friday, December 11, at 2:00.
The Faculty Writing Group doesnŐt read or critique works in progress.
Instead, the FWG serves as an audience for writers who are thinking
through writing problems such as where to send a manuscript for publication,
how to organize a complex chapter, how to establish a realistic writing
schedule, how to start a new project or end an old one, and the like.
Generally the focus is on academic writing, but we have discussed memoir,
travel writing, and poetry in the past, too. Our purpose is to
provide writers a way to reflect on, plan and sustain their writing.
The Faculty Writing Group is open to administrators and teaching faculty at any
level. Our meetings are informal, but productive.
